Marketing Content Specialist (temporary)

Northwestern College has a temporary position opening from Aug. 15 to Nov. 15 for an individual who will promote Northwestern’s standout brand as a member of the marketing & communications team. The position is full-time, but candidates interested in part-time work will be considered. Responsibilities will include:

  • Content creation/writing for the website, the Classic magazine, news releases and other projects

  • Coordination of a variety of projects, including publications, marketing emails and photo shoots

  • Small graphic design projects

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, English or a related field. This individual must possess outstanding writing and proofreading skills, including competence in AP style; a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective marketing plans and materials; a strong commitment to customer service and collaboration; excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities; and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva is preferred but not required.

Location: Remote considered, on-campus preferred. Northwestern is registered to hire remote employees who live in the following states: California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Washington.
