Mille Lacs Health System Dietitian - Flexible Full Time or Part Time in Onamia, Minnesota
Summary
The position will provide consultation, training, coaching, mentoring and instruction to staff, providers and patients and residents.
The position works under the direction of and in collaboration with the department Manager to ensure all regulatory standards are met. The job requires highly professional communication with the patients, families, medical staff, and employees. This position will provide Dietitian services in acute care and/or LTC as needed including nutrition assessment, education, and care planning.
Other major job functions include but are not limited to: collection and reporting of quality data; documentation audits; and monitoring variances from expected outcomes.
Job Duties
Monitors and approves menu planning for various therapeutic diets within the medical system.
May provide active dietary support and monitoring of day-to-day food preparation and service.
May provider consultation to identify opportunities for improvement and supports manager by offering solutions and follows implementation plans for solutions.
Communicates with multidisciplinary team as needed on patient/resident care
Completes nutrition assessment, MDS, and care planning for LTC residents and attends care conferences as assigned
Serves on committees as assigned
Utilizes knowledge in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric nutrition to make recommendations to the medical team
Incorporates IDDSI principles into food service operations and educates staff and medical team in use of terminology
Required Education and Experience
Food Safety Certification
1-3 years of Food Service experience.
Bachelor degree required in related field
Registered Dietician required.
Current licensure in the state of MN
