JOB REQUIREMENTS: Food Service - Cook Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a talented Cook to join our top-notch culinary team at our Eagle Crest North facility. Our kitchen provides meals for 18 memory care residents, 42 assisted living residents, and up to 70 independent living plus residents at Eagle Crest North. We also prepare and send meals for up to 12 memory care residents and 16 assisted living residents at our Holmen locations. What You\'ll Do: - Provide a high-quality dining experience for residents by creating attractive and nutritious meals while maintaining accurate meal documentation records. - Prepare meals relative to the nutritional needs of the residents, dietician recommendations, and Individual Service Plans (ISP) when necessary What You\'ll Need: - Cook experience is beneficial and preferred, but not required. We will train the right fit for our team! - Must be willing and eager to cook from scratch, have a positive attitude, and be customer service focused - Valid driver\'s license and responsible driving record, required Other Responsibilities of Job: Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety. Cook foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served. Rotate and store food supplies. Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment. Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or patrons. Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry. Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals. Train new employees. Take inventory of supplies and equipment. Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs. Bake breads, rolls, or other pastries. Monitor use of government food commodities to ensure that proper procedures are followed. Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. Monitor menus and spending to ensure that meals are prepared economically.
