Our client, an industry leader in case management, has an excellent opportunity for a Principal AI Architect to work on a full-time direct hire opportunity. Work will be fully remote, local to SoCal preferred. The Principal AI Architect will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring solutions remain at the top of the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a high level of passion, creativity, and strong hands-on experience with GenAI and machine learning technologies.
The candidate must be able to apply AI and data science to drive innovations by prototyping, refining, and validating their AI and analytics products and delivery models. In addition, the candidate must have deep experience leveraging data insights that are buried in data and the ability to provide our businesses with a clear way to transform how data is sourced, interpreted, and consumed for internal use or for products.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Salary Range: $200K-$250K
Responsibilities:
· Design and Develop AI Solutions: Lead the design and development of AI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. Lead the solution options response to AI/ML and GenAI/Agentic AI-related inquiries from business stakeholders. Present the technical solution to internal and external customers as required.
· Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business leaders, data engineers, and product leaders to understand requirements and translate them into AI solutions. Engage with existing and prospective clients to present AI/ML based technical solutions and platform/product demonstrations
· Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the architecture for AI systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Design GenAI/Agentic AI-based solution to augment existing AI/ML applications and build new capabilities to address customer problems.
· Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and apply them to improve existing solutions. Provide thought leadership to senior management and CxO teams
· Model Deployment: Oversee the deployment of AI models into production environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
· Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure AI models perform as expected and make necessary adjustments.
· Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for AI systems, including architecture diagrams, data flow, and model specifications.
· Leadership and Training: Train current team members, evaluate existing processes, and identify opportunities for skill enhancement. Work with partners and educate the internal team.
Experience Requirements:
· Must have a proven track record of leveraging rapidly evolving gen AI technologies to create innovative products that enabled meaningful business value via revenue generation or cost optimizations.
· Must have excellent communication skills and ability to partner with business leaders to understand client requirements and develop customized AIML & GenAI/Agentic AI solutions that address their business objectives.
· Strong relationship-building skills and ability to provide technical advice and guidance
· Creating architectures/designs for advanced analytical applications such as Forecasting, Prediction, Segmentation, Optimization, Computer Vision, Speech, and Text Analytics, leveraging appropriate AIML and GenAI/Agentic AI tools & technologies across major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP)
· Acted as the primary technical PoC for business leaders and internal engineering staff to implement "Responsible AI" practices across the organization
· Provided technical advisory & guidance to customers, sales, and delivery teams on AI/ML and GenAI/Agentic AI platforms and solutions
· Has track record of implementing gen AI to accelerate SDLC. Provide innovative tools, processes and AI-based solutions that greatly accelerate the software engineering’s team’s time to market.
· Strong expertise in handling large and complex internal RFPs/RFIs and collaborating with multiple service lines & platform vendors in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications of the Principal AI Architect:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex AI/ML concepts to technical and executive audiences (leveraging PPTs, Demos and Whiteboard)
· At least 4+ years of deep experience in GenAI, ML, NLP, LLM, transformers, fine tuning, transfer learning, diffusion models, RNNs., evaluation techniques (BLUE, FID, perplexity), prompt engineering (tuning, zero-shot, few-shot..) , RAG, and Graph RAG solutions.
· At least 4+ years of deep experience in data engineering, analytics and data science. Including data pipelines (ETL/LT, fine tuning, training), data labeling/curation, vector databases, and embeddings.
· At least 4+ years experience with DevOps and MLOps. Includes model deployment using Docker/Kubernetes, Serving with cutom APIs or equivalent (ONNX, Triton, Hugging Face Interface endpoints), model monitoring/observability (MLFlow, Evidently, Arize AI…), and CI/CD Pipelines for ML (Jenkins, SageMaker Pipelines…)
· Deep expertise in designing AIML and GenAI/Agentic AI solutions on at least 1 major cloud platform (Azure, AWS and GCP). AWS strongly preferred
· Minimum 3-years hands-on experience in building GenAI/Agentic AI applications leveraging Large Language models
Education Requirements:
· Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data or a related field. PhD level education strongly preferred.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
