Machine Operator

Pay: $20-23/hour

Location: Lacey, WA

Job Description

The Machine Operator position involves operating and monitoring machinery used in the production of concrete products. The role requires strong visual and auditory skills to troubleshoot machine issues and communicate effectively with the maintenance team. Additionally, the operator will conduct quality inspections of products during the manufacturing process and perform heavy lifting tasks, up to 75 lbs. The work environment is a heavy industrial setting, requiring adaptability to various weather conditions, including hot and cold. Safety compliance and previous experience in a similar environment are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor various types of manufacturing machinery involved in the production of concrete products to ensure optimal performance.

  • Utilize visual and auditory skills to identify and diagnose machine issues and communicate effectively with the maintenance team to resolve problems promptly.

  • Conduct visual inspections of concrete products during the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards and report any defects or inconsistencies.

  • Perform tasks that require lifting and moving heavy materials, up to 75 lbs., as part of the production process.

  • Work in various weather conditions, including hot and cold environments, and implement measures to ensure safety and efficiency despite weather challenges.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA standards.

  • Keen eye for detail to conduct visual inspections and ensure product quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lacey, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
