Employment Specialist/Job Coach
(1 open position FT and 1 PT position): Mason/Thurston
To maintain employment positions, or explore employment specific to individual needs & challenges. It may include serving Community Inclusion clients.
Requirements:
-A person of good character, trustworthy, accountable, professional presentation, possess sound judgment skills
-Ability to approach, negotiate, create paid employment opportunities with employers throughout the community.
-Ability to conduct site/task analyses.
-Excellent "people" & communication skills, includes "reading" people/body language and knowing when to not intervene
-Excellent writing skills: case notes daily, reports, proposals, etc.
-Knowledge of & sensitivity to disabilities & challenges.
-Vocational experience with people with disabilities.
-Initiative, organization, memory & self-management skills
-Ability to accept/follow specific directions; teamwork; work independence
-Maintain timely, detailed documentation & record keeping
-Flexibility, problem-solving skills, dedication, analytical abilities, tactful, diplomatic.
-Ability to: train/teach vocational skills, in a systematic manner, to individuals with cognitive or other challenges.
-Promote independence & responsibility towards successful employment.
-Tactfully work within a business, sensitive to the worksite culture, purpose & dynamics.
-Separate personal issues from the workplace; provide non-intrusive support/presence
Criminal background check
Reliable transportation, ability to drive through-out the day to multiple worksites; proof of insurance & good driving record
Professional references; relevant experience
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft & Excel)
Work/travel in Thurston County and Mason County
Wage/salary: $46,080.00 to $53,760.00 yearly DOQ
Benefits: full time employees eligible for benefits; medical, dental, vision and 401K with a company match of up to 3% after 1 year of full time employment. Paid time off for full time employees; sick/vacation.
Requires: work/travel in Mason County and Thurston County, criminal background check (provided); reliable transportation with proof of insurance & good driving record -- provide current "driving abstract;" professional references; relevant experience; proficient computer skills. High School Diploma, college preferred.

Education Requirement:
