Planate Management Group LLC HSE Specialist (Subic Bay, Philippines) in Olongapo, Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The HSE Specialist will assist the HSE Manager in the establishment, implementation, monitoring and reviewing of Company’s HSE Management System to achieve the company’s HSE policy and objectives.

The pay range for this position, based on the market data, is Php150-250/hour (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and review of HSE documents (policies, procedures, forms, checklists, training presentation slides, etc.)

  • Conducting in-house HSE training, toolbox meetings, and emergency exercises

  • Assist in audit and inspection activities

  • Monitor the workplace environment

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in general construction, with background in ISO 9000

  • Knowledgeable on construction occupation safety and health, basic life support, incident investigation tools (root cause analysis, bow tie, etc.), environmental protection.

  • Must have certificates in COSH, Basic Fire Fighting, Incident Investigation and Reporting.

  • Must have valid Red Cross certificate in First Aid & Basic Life Support.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven relationship building skills at a variety of levels

  • Good understanding of OSHA, NFPA, DOLE standards

  • Able to perform safety audits and inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOLE safety standards

  • Knowledge of international and local safety regulations, standards, protocols, and/or procedures

  • Able to assist in the development of HSE procedures and protocols

  • Computer literate
