Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to provide regional operational support for our MedStar locations. Selected candidates must be able to travel as needed to the MedStar locations in Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC and or PG county Maryland area as business needs dictate.

We are looking for candidates who will:

• manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;

• ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;

• manage food costing, controls and compliance;

• develop menus and manage inventory;

• have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;

• have the ability and willingness to develop and train front-line employees;

• have a passion for food and innovation;

• have knowledge of special diets and allergens.

The ideal candidate has:

• a strong culinary background in a Healthcare setting, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;

• excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;

• previous experience working in a high volume facility; and

• strong management skills.

This is a non-permanent full-time position eligible for full-time benefits on your first day . The role could last for up to 18 months or longer and will provide an opportunity to train and highlight your skills working with multiple directors/general managers and reports directly to the Client Executive. While in, you are encouraged to apply to permanent positions at any Sodexo location.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services, CTM, or Clinical Nutrition
