Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Parlin, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the movement of soil and other objects using heavy machinery. Proficiency in operating both excavators and dozers is essential, with the ability to handle both CAT and DEERE controls. The role primarily involves operating heavy equipment, but also requires assisting the crew on the ground.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and dozers.
Use both CAT and DEERE controls on excavators.
Assist the crew on the ground as needed.
Load and unload heavy equipment on trailers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with Excavator and Dozer equipment.
Experience in operating heavy equipment.
Ability to handle CAT & DEERE controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current 8-hour refresher.
CDL Class A is a plus.
Experience in construction and heavy equipment operations.

Work Environment
Work with a crew of 2-5 people, each with specialized roles on projects. The work involves exposure to harsh weather conditions, whether cold or hot. The position is initially a 6-month contract-to-hire, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance.

This is a Contract position based out of Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
