Pearl Interactive Network Controller in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Pearl Interactive Network is sourcing to hire a Controller.

The Controller The Controller directs the financial close and day-to-day accounting transaction activities, administers the ERP system, oversees financial audits, prepares financial reports, performs financial analyses, and manages the accounting staff. The person in this position will maintain systems of internal controls, ensure compliance with government contracting regulations (FAR and CAS), and be responsible for financial reporting activities.

Operating Hours: 8 am - 5 pm EST, Monday - Friday

Preferred Location(s): GA, DC/MD/VA This is a remote (work from home) position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with FAR and CAS regulations.

  • Ensure DCAA-compliant accounting practices and support audits.

  • Maintain and oversee indirect cost rate structures and incurred cost submissions.

  • Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare and review financial statements , ensuring compliance with GAAP .

  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting .

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all government-required financial reports .

Government Contract Accounting

  • Oversee project accounting, ensuring proper cost allocation to contracts.

  • Assist in the development and maintain indirect rates (Fringe, Overhead, G&A).

  • Support contract pricing and cost proposals , ensuring compliance with government requirements.

  • Work with contracting officers and auditors to ensure financial transparency.

  • Prepares annual incurred costs submission for cost-type federal contracts.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team , fostering professional growth.

  • Coordinate with program managers, contracts, and business development teams on financial matters.

  • Develop financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and compliance.

  • Manage relationships with various outside customers, vendors, and financial institutions.

ERP System Administration

  • Oversee the ERP system security, user security and rights, and ensure proper internal controls and segregation of duties are maintained.

  • Participate in documenting contract and program requirements, setup, and maintenance in the accounting system.

  • Support DCAA and financial system audits by providing documentation and responses as necessary.

Other Duties

  • Perform analysis of all cost data; ensure regulatory compliance with cost accounting practices.

  • Works with the Payroll team to reconcile, fund, and complete bi-monthly payroll.

  • Lead the annual financial audit and prepare audit documentation as required.

  • Support preparation of the annual budget and reforecasts.

  • Leads tax compliance efforts with multi-state income and business taxes.

  • Assists with documentation requests and indirect adjustments, as required

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 9+ years of accounting experience , with at least 5 years in government contracting .

  • Deep knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit requirements .

  • Experience with indirect cost rate development and incurred cost submissions .

  • Strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint

  • Expertise in GAAP accounting principles .

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Ability to be responsive and timely and work within tight deadlines.

  • Computer skills including: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Preferred:

  • CPA certification.

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or MBA.

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools .

  • Prior work with healthcare or technology-focused government contractors .

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
