Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with expertise in 3-way match processes and proficiency in MAS 90 accounting software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team.

Responsibilities:

3-Way Match Oversight: Lead and oversee the 3-way match process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:

Reviewing purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices to verify accuracy and completeness.

Investigating and resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.

Collaborating with purchasing and receiving departments to address issues and improve process efficiency.

Providing guidance and training to staff involved in the 3-way match process.

MAS 90 Management: Utilize expertise in MAS 90 accounting software to:

Maintain and update financial records and transactions accurately within MAS 90.

Generate financial reports and analyses as needed.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to MAS 90 functionality.

Accounts Payable Leadership: Manage the accounts payable function, including:

Supervising and mentoring accounts payable staff.

Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.

Reviewing and approving payment batches and vendor reconciliations.

Establishing and enforcing accounts payable policies and procedures.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing analysis and insights as needed.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, particularly related to 3-way match processes and MAS 90 utilization. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including purchasing, receiving, and finance, to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA designation preferred.

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and 3-way match processes.

  • Proficiency in MAS 90 accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
