DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The role involves offering technical guidance for projects sponsored by the department as well as locally sponsored projects. It also includes providing assistance and support for projects of moderate to higher complexity. The position requires maintaining direct communication with utility companies throughout the process of utility clearance, letting, award, and construction to ensure that necessary utility relocations are carried out and project milestones are achieved. Additionally, you will attend project scopings as assigned to offer comments and insights on potential utility impacts and the level of effort needed to coordinate utilities effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as an Engineering Technician performing utility relocation work; or
  • One year of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience performing utility relocation work.
