JBT Corporation Assembly Technician in Ohio, United States

Responsibilities Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment Read and interpret basic blueprints for assembling machines to proper specifications Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets standards and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Utilize in house mechanical equipment such as forklift, overhead cranes, hoists, etc. after successful completion of Bevcorp’s powered industrial truck certification program Maintain work areas as well as equipment, tools and machines in a safe, neat and orderly condition Follow directions given by Assembly Manager and/or Supervisors Responsible for accurately clocking in and out of job/project/builds by utilization of E10 Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Other duties as assigned by Assembly Supervisors and/or Assembly Manager. Qualifications Ability to provide and use the correct tools for the job Ability to trouble shoot issues and communicate issues/solutions to supervision High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of assembly experience preferred Strong mechanical work history and tool knowledge Ability to regularly lift/carry 30-50 pounds Experience in reading and understanding assembly drawings. Must be able to work with others Dedication to safety Ability to successfully carry out written or verbal instructions Detail oriented Team oriented Ability to balance a quality level of maintenance while staying on a timeline in order to meet deadlines.
