Job Summary and Qualifications- Endoscopy Tech Full-Time 7 days on- 7 days off ( Call Required)

As an Endoscopic Technician you will play a vital role in maintaining competent care delivery to patients in our Endoscopy Setting. Our team is amazing and we consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

· You will be able to participate in all procedures of varying complexity including ERCP, Spyglass, EUS, bronchoscopy and esophageal manometry.

· You will be able to recognize physical landmarks and demonstrate advanced skill in instrument manipulation, tissue acquisition, placement of devices, and proficiently sets up all related equipment.

· You will assist with and carry out functions required to safely perform endoscopy procedures, taking into consideration age appropriate care. Recognizes development of intra-procedural complications and pro-actively participates in emergency interventions.

· You will assume primary responsibility for eliminating out of date equipment.

· You will clean and disinfects scopes and other reusable equipment per protocol: performs manual pre-cleaning and activates reprocessors.

· You will facilitate patient flow by transporting patients in department as well as throughout hospital, assisting RNs in coordinating schedule of rooms for day.

· You will independently prepare and test cleaning solutions and change reprocessor filters per schedule and as necessary.

· You will prepare the procedure room, assembles scope and other equipment based on physician preference, patient age, special needs and anticipated interventions.

What qualifications you will need:

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

· High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

· Completion of technologist course or comparable experience preferred.

· One year of hospital based experience preferred.
