Job Description

The Site Scheduling team is responsible for scheduling the production at the site based off of the Master Production Plan (Supply Plan). This is done by converting the master production plan into a Master Production Schedule (MPS). The MPS is broken down further into the detailed schedule, which shows all operations for the day down to the hour. The Site Scheduling Team (SS) also schedules all maintenance on the production floor, as well as coordinates all major projects impacting production. Within SS is Material Scheduling. Material scheduling ensures all raw material and components are available and the stocked in time for operations.

The idea of maximizing site output and “everyday counts” is part of the sites 2020 Agility goal. Site Scheduling’s contribution to the goal is to develop a tool that allows the team to create a schedule which maximizes the site output for manufacturing and maintenance activities. This tool will take into consideration our existing assets and people to demonstrate what an optimized production schedule could look like. The tool should also go one step further and support the identification of changes/improvements needed to further optimize the plan.
