Associate Director, Site Planner and Materials Management, Oceanside, CA
Associate Director, Site Production Planning and Materials Management will be a part of the site leadership team responsible for site production planning, materials and inventory management, logistics, and warehouse management. In this role, you will supervise a team consisting of Site Planner, materials management specialists, and warehouse and logistics associates to support operations at our facility in Oceanside, CA.
Manage and build up the department
Provide and maintain detailed overall site scheduling production plans for production at the facility in Oceanside to assure no gaps or delays in processing, release, and shipments
Develop and implement planning tools through MS Project, spreadsheet and relational databases for the total manufacturing process at the site
Create and maintain planning and logistics metrics to enable process improvements
Minimize variability and align logistics, demand planning and sourcing to ensure minimum financial impact and uninterrupted manufacturing operations and cold chain workflow
Support product shipments collaboratively across the site to ensure that shipment requests are timely coordinated for products
In collaboration with Supply Chain, develop/support forecasts and maintain long-term manufacturing plans and models for the activities at the site supporting the operation
Coordinate activities required to support the manufacture, testing, packaging, labeling, release, shipping, and distribution of clinical and commercial materials
Perform warehouse operations to ensure a compliance and safe environment
Bachelor / Master degree in Life Sciences, project management or related business administration is required with a certification in logistics or planning preferred
At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with 6 years of relevant logistics and planning - clinical and commercial supply experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company in a planning and supply chain management role preferred
Experience working closely with Manufacturing, Project Management, functional team leaders, clinical teams, contract manufacturing partners and/or cold chain shippers and logistics providers
At least 5 years of people management experience
Excellent MS Office and MS Project skills
In depth knowledge of material requirements planning and production scheduling
Demonstrated technical skills and mindset in logistic and cold chain management including process optimization and delivery of patient kits
Strong knowledge and understanding of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain; international distribution experience (Pharmaceuticals) preferred
Additional specific qualifications in clinical supplies demand and logistics/ or planning management including and APICs, CPIM, and related processional certifications preferred
Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with on call duty as needed
