Ensuring the program is following PG&E cost and schedule reporting guidelines. Evaluating manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis. Working with project managers to create cost/schedule baseline budgets. Reporting on cost tracking metrics for engineering and construction firms and internal project management teams. Performing periodic audits to ensure information integrity exists between unifier and ap and alert the pm when corrections are needed. Reviewing, assisting, and taking the lead in the preparation of advance authorizations, and re-authorizations and assist pm in routing for approval. Elevating project and portfolio risks or trends to project manager, stakeholders, and leadership. Participating in and possibly leading project cost review meetings. Responsible for being involved in the tracking system to ensure that project manager is fully aware of detailed change order status.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 3 years of work experience as a Project Controls Analyst or related occupation in Construction. In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 1 year of work experience as a Project Controls Analyst or related occupation in Construction.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Expertise/ knowledge of: Construction Management – managing RFIs; risk analysis; contract management; financial analysis; Evaluating manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis; monitoring project schedules. Understanding technical work scope of Construction project. Cost Analysis/Budgeting/Cost forecasting. Project Controls and Scheduling Software –Ariba, Primavera P6, Advanced Microsoft Office, ProjectWise, Microsoft Project, NavisWorks.

Typical salary range for this position is $87,859 - $115,550 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
