Description

Our client in Oakland, CA is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and compassionate individual with a strong commitment to patient well-being. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting thier healthcare team and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization.

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.

  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.

  • Assist with patient education and ensure clear understanding of medical instructions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

  • Adhere to all medical protocols, standards, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program required.

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.

  • CPR certification preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
