Description
Our client in Oakland, CA is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and compassionate individual with a strong commitment to patient well-being. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting thier healthcare team and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization.
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.
Assist with patient education and ensure clear understanding of medical instructions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Adhere to all medical protocols, standards, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program required.
Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
CPR certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
