Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Windows System Administrator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Windows-based systems, servers, and software applications. This role requires expertise in SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, GPO (Group Policy Object), and DNS (Domain Name System). The Windows System Administrator will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure efficient operation and implementation of various systems within our organization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Windows-based systems, servers, and software applications.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCCM for efficient software deployment, patch management, and system updates.
Administer Active Directory services, including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and organizational units (OUs).
Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies, system configurations, and software settings across the network.
Maintain and support Exchange servers, including mailbox management, email routing, and security configurations.
Configure and manage DNS to ensure reliable name resolution and network connectivity.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Windows system administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows system administration.
Proficiency in SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and system updates.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including user and group management, group policies, and domain controller administration.
Experience with Exchange server administration, including mailbox management, email routing, and security configurations.
In-depth understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and their implementation across the network.
Familiarity with DNS configuration and management in a Windows environment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.
