Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Generalist in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Generalist in the IT industry, based in Elmhurst, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for various HR functions, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee development, and employee relations. Additionally, you will manage compensation and benefits programs, employee onboarding, and exit interviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with managers to understand business needs and provide HR guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee development.

  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring proper enrollment, changes, and terminations.

  • Conduct new employee onboarding and oversee the exit interview process for departing employees.

  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, laws, and best practices related to areas such as corrective action, leaves of absence, and accommodations.

  • Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues with leadership, recommending disciplinary actions as necessary.

  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on compliance, management development, and diversity.

  • Ensure HR compliance by auditing records and practices related to EEO, affirmative action, FMLA, wage/hour, etc.

  • Maintain up-to-date human resources database and employee files/records.

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, benefits, and organizational changes.

  • Analyze metrics and prepare reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting, and employee relations.

  • Run payroll and complete all payroll reporting.

  • Partner with the head of HR to develop and implement employee engagement survey tools, interpret results with management teams, and support action planning.

  • Oversee peer-to-peer recognition and other employee recognition programs.

  • Develop and manage wellness programs.

  • Collaborate with the global HR team on company-wide programs as needed.

    Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources managerial role within the Professional Services industry

• Proficient in handling Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

• Proven experience in managing Employee Relations effectively

• Experience with Multistate Payroll management

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
