JOB OVERVIEW

XCEL Engineering has an opening for a ServiceNow Developer to join our team of talented and diverse individuals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Typical projects to be supported range from simple to highly complex for a large (5000+ employee) enterprise environment. It is not uncommon for multiple sites and customers to be supported simultaneously by a single analyst or administrator, so the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and be goal and deadline oriented is required.
• Projects to be supported may include anything in the ServiceNow environment which span all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through production implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• US Citizen with eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of two years professional computing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Additional desired qualifications include web development experience.
• 5 years' experience with ServiceNow development
• 2 years' experience with application development
• Proficiency in the following tools / languages: ServiceNow, JavaScript, SOAP / REST, UI/UX design, AngularJS, HTML, Bootstrap, and JSON.
• Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Incident, Change and Service Catalog Management.
• Strong working knowledge of scoped application development.
• Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Inside office environment.
• Working on a computer for long periods of time.
• May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
• The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
