WHO YOU ARE: You are an experienced hotel front desk professional. You love the hospitality business looking for a part-time or full-time role and prefer to work evenings and overnight. Your skill set includes communication, accuracy, consistency, task completion and problem resolution.   WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: You will be meeting and greeting hotel guests seeking to discover our Le Meridien Hotel and the many exciting shopping and dining opportunities surrounding our hotel. Night Auditors serve a critical role by providing direct guest support throughout the hospitality experience by accurately processing and tracking transactions and other reportable items. Night Auditors must be adept and creative problem solvers, delivering above-average resolutions to guests’ challenges. The primary responsibility of a Night Auditor is to deliver and exceed guest expectations, execute brand service standards, resolve challenges, ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting, and maintain excellent communication with guests, peers, and supervisors. Balance revenue and settle accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day of operations while performing Guest Service Agent tasks and duties. From this superb vantage point, hotel guests can access Oak Brook's most prominent attractions with ease, including Drury Lane Theatre, the Elmhurst Art Museum and downtown Chicago.   WHAT WE OFFER: * Competitive rate of pay. * Great Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, Life Insurance * 401K Match * Free shift meal * Hotel Discounts at Marriott Hotels!   ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Greet arriving hotel guests and check them into their accommodations * Check guests out of hotel upon departure, ensure their bills are accurate and properly settled * Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential guests and accept hotel reservations * Maintain integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling guest records, cash reports, audit reports, and other guest or hotel information * Effectively communicate with hotel departments verbally or through hotel communication log to ensure timely and accurate delivery of guest expectations, fulfillment of needs, and challenge resolution * Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis * Input and update financial information * Maintains good customer relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses in person and on telephone * Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service * Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests in emergencies   JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Strong guest service and passion in working with people at all levels. * Two years of hotel front desk and/or night audit-related experience preferred * LightSpeed and other Marriott system knowledge is preferred * Able to multi-task and being adaptable to the task at hand * Proficient computer literacy with multiple systems * Able to handle situations under pressure * Detailed and goal orientated * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Great sense of urgency and provides great follow through * Fully available to work a flexible schedule including overnight, evening, weekends, and holidays   We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
