Cedar Shore Resort, Oacoma, SD, needs 4 temporary (04/01/24 - 11/30/24) and full-time Servers. Greet and seat guests with hospitality as they arrive. Learn and maintain proper food, bar and wine menu knowledge. Take orders for and serve food and beverages with proper table service and hospitality. Maintain an efficient, profitable and professional dining room, by helping develop repeat customers. Set up for banquets. Provide table service and hospitality to banquet guests. Help maintain an efficient, clean, profitable and professional banquet dining room and serving area, by insuring quality service and operational standards. Set up and clear off tables. Stock and tear down buffet lines. Take room service orders for guests and deliver to rooms when necessary. Help keep the dining room neat, clean, organized and well presented with the music, lighting and temperature controls set properly to achieve the appropriate dining atmosphere. Assist with cleaning up and closing down the restaurant. 6-months experience required. No education requirements. Job requires standing, bending, stooping and lifting up to 40lbs repetitively. OJT provided. Tipped position with guaranteed wage of $13.02p/h (allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet prevailing wage. Employer will guarantee prevailing wage for hours worked when allowed tip credit does not make hourly wage equal or exceed the prevailing wage of $13.02/hr.), overtime wage rate of $19.53, overtime may be available but is not guaranteed,

general schedule of 40h/w, 6am-3pm or 2pm-11pm, workdays vary Sun-Sat. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The employer will make all deductions from workers paychecks that are required by law. The employer will provide optional housing accommodations from a third-party if relocating for the position and not within reasonable transport to jobsite. If employer-arranged housing is utilized the worker will be deducted approximately $300 per month. If workers request and receive a pay advance, that amount will later be deducted from their paycheck. If relocating for the position, the cost of transportation and subsistence to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if half of the employment period is completed. This reimbursement will be calculated by the exact cost of the transportation expenses by airplane or bus fare, as well as subsistence expenses

calculated at the minimum amount of $15.46 per 24-hour period of travel and the maximum amount of $59.00 per day. Return transportation and subsistence will be provided if the employment period is completed, or if dismissed early. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees that are to the benefit of the employer. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided to workers at no charge. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period.
