Ein erfolgreicher Senior DevOps Engineer ist verantwortlich für das Management und die Verbesserung von Prozessen, Tools und Methoden durch kontinuierliche Bewertung und Implementierung von Best Practices der Branche. Mithilfe von Tools wie Jenkins, Git, Docker und Kubernetes optimiert diese Position die CI/CD-Pipelines, um effiziente und zuverlässige Bereitstellungsprozesse sicherzustellen. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklungsteams ist entscheidend, um automatisierte Test- und Überwachungslösungen zu integrieren und somit die Codequalität und Systemleistung zu verbessern. Die Fähigkeit, regelmäßige Feedbackschleifen und Retrospektiven durchzuführen, ist entscheidend, um Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten zu identifizieren und die Methoden kontinuierlich anzupassen und zu verfeinern.

Was Sie tun werden:

• Verwalten und Verbessern der Prozesse, Tools und Methoden während des gesamten Softwareentwicklungslebenszyklus.

• Vorbereitung, Integration und Bereitstellung neuer Releases für unsere On-Premise- und Cloud-basierten Webanwendungen und APIs. In Projekten sind Sie bereits in der Architektur- und Designphase beteiligt, um die Produktionsbereitschaft und Compliance sicherzustellen.

• Pflege der Umgebung und Gewährleistung derer Stabilität und Sicherheit.

• Verwaltung der Betriebssystem-Upgrades der Server, patchen und Aktualisierung der Container und Vorbereitung der neue Server für die Anwendungsbereitstellungen zusammen mit anderen IT-Infrastrukturabteilungen.

• Unterstützung der Entwickler bei der Cloud-Migration und Verwaltung der Anwendungscontainer, Cronjobs, Sealed Secrets und die Infrastrukturabhängigkeiten der Anwendungen.

Was Sie mitbringen sollten:

• Erfahrung im Umgang mit folgenden Technologien und Produkten: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, PHP Composer, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Oracle und MSSQL-Datenbanken, Grafana und Container-Performance-Monitoring und -Verbesserung, Nexus, Sonar, Splunk Logging, Load Balancer und Web Application Firewall, Zertifikatsverwaltung und -bereitstellung (TLS, CAs, ...), Sicherheits-Compliance-Frameworks (OWASP, PCI DSS, ...), PHP 8.x, Confluence, Jira, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe

• Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse. Polnischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.

What does a successful Senior DevOps Engineer do?

Within this role a successful Senior DevOps Engineer combines technical expertise with project management skills to manage the preparation, integration, and deployment of new releases for both on-premises and cloud-based applications and APIs. Utilizing tools such as Gitlab, Docker, and Kubernetes, this position streamlines CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes. Collaboration with development teams is pivotal for migrating applications into the Cloud, improving automation, and thereby optimize software development, enhance system reliability and system performance.

What will you do:

• Manage and improve the processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the software development life cycle.

• Take over the preparation, integration, and deployment of new releases for our on-prem and Cloud based web applications and API’s. In projects you are already involved in the architectural and design phase to ensure production readiness and compliance.

• Support the developers with the application Cloud migrations and setup/manage the application containers, cronjobs, sealed secrets, and application infrastructure dependencies.

• Prepare and manage server OS upgrades, patch and upgrade containers, and setup new servers for the application deployments together with other IT Infrastructure departments.

• Prepare and conduct disaster recovery tests, integrate automated application security scans, and maintain the environment to ensure the stability and security of the same.

What you will need to have

• Experience in working with the following technologies and products: Linux/Apache/mySQL/PHP (LAMP) environments, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Gitlab CI/CD, Grafana, security and performance monitoring, Certificate Management, Firewalls & Load Balancing, Security Compliance Frameworks (OWASP, PCI DSS, …)

• Optionally: Oracle and MSSQL databases, IIS, PHP 8.x, PHP Composer, Gerrit, Jenkins

• Fluency in German, English. Polish nice to have.
