Systems Administrator Advisor

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

● Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems

● Perform all aspects of CREW, DUKE, and MODI systems troubleshooting and repair to include communications-electronics and EW systems:

●Provide routine technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.

● Troubleshoots system hardware and software issues.

● Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software

●Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

●Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

●Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions

●Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.

●Conducts basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

●Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience

● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with CREW, DUKE, and MODI systems. Performs inspections of system components, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of modules and circuit cards to the lowest replaceable unit

(LRU)/component.

● Security Clearance Level: Secret

● Required Skills and Abilities: Train personnel at the installation site in proper use of highly specialized electronic equipment.

● Preferred Skills: Work with minimal supervision, documents maintenance tasks via local or web- based reporting system, provides system functional briefings to customer and supervisor. Ability to pass CRC to deploy. Active US Passport.

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $123,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
