Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves working on a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts). The initial training will be on the 1st shift for a couple of weeks before transitioning to the 3rd shift. We specialize in the food manufacturing industry, providing high-quality food products for over 50 years.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, and matrix.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems.
Work with ammonia systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ensure compliance with GMP standards.
Adhere to attendance policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
10+ years of experience in the food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with gearboxes, conveyors, and matrix.
Understanding of PLC systems.
Knowledge of working with ammonia.
Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Preventive maintenance expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fireman's License 2nd class 1 Boiler (preferred).
Experience working with electrical controls.
Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
Skills in welding, HVAC, plumbing, and conveyor systems.

Work Environment
Our facility maintains a temperature of 40-45 degrees, with occasional tasks in the freezer at 0 degrees. The environment has the aroma of chicken wing sauce and meatballs and can be wet in areas around conveyors and the floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwood, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
