Essential Functions

  1. Loads and unloads trucks

  2. Accurately counts materials coming in and going out of warehouse

  3. Performs preventative maintenance on forklift and/or additional equipment at warehouse

  4. Cleans and maintains warehouse

  5. Responsible for quality control of products/materials packages finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling, etc.)

  6. Stages finished product for loading

  7. Participates in emergency response drills

  8. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 4 years industry and/or distribution experience. Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, organizational skills. Advanced working knowledge of full product line. Must be self-directed and have an advanced understanding of financial measurements. Advanced understanding of internal processes, standard operating procedures, sales, products, financials, management, safety procedures, and policies. Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Position Summary

Assists sales and efforts of medium size branch to attain or exceed the projected business plan. Provides a positive working environment that promotes productivity, exceptional customer service and continuous improvement in all aspect of branch operations. Maximizes gross margin while abiding by customer MRO contracts. Develops strategies for retaining and improving margins through strategic products and pricing efforts. Maintains optimal inventory and receivables ratio to maximize inventory turn, DSO, and customer service. Ensures adherence of all policies and procedures. Encourages employee participation and ideas. Handles special projects, as assigned.
