Robert Half Assistant Controller in Northwood, Ohio

Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in the Telecom Services industry, based in NORTHWOOD, Ohio. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure timely and accurate processing

• Handle various accounting functions, including but not limited to, general ledger entries, account reconciliation, and financial reporting

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and tools such as ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Crystal Reports, and DCAA for financial management and reporting

• Proficiently use Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements

• Play an active role in the preparation and analysis of financial reports

• Collaborate with different teams to improve financial procedures and ensure financial integrity

• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures

• Conduct regular audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and the development of stronger financial procedures. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Telecom Services industry preferred

• Proficiency in handling Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger maintenance

• Proficiency in using Sage X3 accounting software

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, is required

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
