Responsibilities

Are you a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Northridge Hospital Medical Center is committed to helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. We're currently seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!

  • Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy).

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding any changes in condition or response to treatment.

  • Accurately document patient care activities in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.

  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.

  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 yrs. experience as a practicing PTA, including demonstrated teaching responsibilities and evidence of continued education required.

  • A graduate of an approved school for Physical Therapist Assistants or equivalent by the licensing board is required.

  • The academic curriculum will include coursework on growth and development, gerontology, and therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

  • New grads welcome.

  • Current State of California Physical Therapist Assistant licensure required. (LIC PTA)

  • Current AHA BLS

  • Fire Safety cards required (obtain 90 days from start date).

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$36.16 - $45.08 /hour
