Responsibilities
Are you a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Northridge Hospital Medical Center is committed to helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. We're currently seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!
Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy).
Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding any changes in condition or response to treatment.
Accurately document patient care activities in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 yrs. experience as a practicing PTA, including demonstrated teaching responsibilities and evidence of continued education required.
A graduate of an approved school for Physical Therapist Assistants or equivalent by the licensing board is required.
The academic curriculum will include coursework on growth and development, gerontology, and therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
New grads welcome.
Current State of California Physical Therapist Assistant licensure required. (LIC PTA)
Current AHA BLS
Fire Safety cards required (obtain 90 days from start date).
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Pay Range
$36.16 - $45.08 /hour
