Aerotek Production Lead in Northfield, Minnesota
Job Title: Production Lead ( Third Shift )
3rd Shift Hours: 10:00pm - 6:30am ( Sunday through Thursday )
Pay Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour ( depends on experience ) ( paid weekly )
Job Description
- The Production Lead is responsible for managing daily production activities, supervising shifts, training employees, assigning tasks, and assisting with staffing on the production floor. This role ensures that production goals are achieved while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day production and oversee shift operations.
Collaborate with the supervisor to schedule shift workflow and determine production expectations.
Assign tasks and set priorities during daily communication meetings.
Address workflow questions and provide best manufacturing practices.
Resolve issues throughout the shift and recommend improvements using Lean Manufacturing techniques to establish efficient production cells.
Support staff and enforce operating policies and SOPs.
Implement the '5S' methodology and Lean Manufacturing Systems in the area.
Align management objectives with the production floor to meet company goals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within production cells.
Maintain visual management boards within production cells.
Fill in production roles when necessary, if certified.
Orient new employees to safety procedures and performance expectations.
Train employees on processes and evaluate their training progress.
Participate in candidate interviews and assist Production Supervisors with new hire selection.
Support Production Supervisors in performance appraisals and employee development.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or GED.
Experience using various manufacturing equipment.
Working knowledge of a manufacturing and production company, preferably in the printed circuit industry.
General knowledge of all production processes in the area.
Computer skills including Excel and Word, and knowledge of company ERP system.
Leadership experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the printed circuit industry is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
