Aston Carter Capital Analyst in North York, Ontario
Qualifications:
1: 2+ years of Advanced accounting & Financial Reporting experience & experience with IFRS
2: Large ERP Experience
3: CPA or Pursuing CPA
Description:
• Address inquiries from Business Unit Controllers regarding capital requests and needs.
• Assist in quarterly and annual audit activities related to capital expenditures.
• Undertake ad-hoc reporting and analytics tasks as necessary to support organizational objectives.
• Support the capital expenditure planning process from initiation to disbursement within the organization, ensuring efficient fund allocation.
• Collaborating with operational and functional leads to gather inputs for the planning process, fostering finance integration within operational functions.
• Manage approved budgets and execute necessary transfers within the ERP system, maintaining a comprehensive list of budgeted capital expense projects.
• Review all capital expense requests within the Workday approval flow to ensure adherence to capital eligibility criteria.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in transactions, proactively recommending process enhancements to the Capital Planning Lead.
• Aid in the development of enhanced reporting mechanisms for capital expenses across the organization.
