IQVIA Consultant - Real World Evidence in North Sydney, Australia
This role is open to Sydney or Melbourne based candidates only.
We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant to join the Real World Evidence (RWE) team at IQVIA Australia. If successful, you will become a valued member of our entrepreneurial, consultative, and collaborative team, operating at the forefront of the healthcare industry in Australia.
The RWE team is engaged in a diverse range of activities to support our clients in the life sciences sector in generating high-quality Real World Evidence (RWE).
This includes:
Designing and conducting Real World studies utilizing various methodologies (including retrospective database studies and prospective site-based and site-less studies) to develop scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
Developing Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AIML) algorithms to aid disease diagnosis and treatment optimization
Conducting consulting projects to help inform optimal evidence generation strategies
Developing cutting-edge thought leadership in the RWE space
As a Senior Consultant in IQVIA’s Real-World Evidence Team, your role is pivotal in driving the successful delivery of projects, particularly large-scale and complex ones. You will also play a crucial role in business development and offering ownership. You will be expected to adopt a consultative, scientific approach, recommending and designing solutions that align with the client’s needs as a trusted strategic partner. Your role is not just about delivering projects; it’s about delivering success and driving growth.
Lead the design and delivery of Real World (observational) research studies and RWE consulting projects (in the role of project manager, with oversight from senior team members)
Develop key study deliverables, including protocols, data collection tools, study reports and publications (e.g., posters, manuscripts)
Lead all relevant aspects of study start-up and approval (e.g., Ethics and governance)
Lead the delivery of biostatistical analysis workstreams
Contribute to the preparation and execution of client meetings and workshops
Conduct literature reviews / secondary research based on specific project briefs
Identify new business opportunities and ensure client satisfaction post-delivery; build relationships as a trusted strategic partner for clients
Drive business development, support sales opportunities and participate in proposal development
Lead internal offering management and external go-to-market for 1-2 key RWE solution areas
Continually expand knowledge of Real World research methodologies and the life sciences market
Key Requirements:
Solid foundation in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (advanced degree in one of these two disciplines preferred)
Proficiency in SAS software
Bachelor’s or master’s degree
5-8 years of related experience in consulting and/or life sciences industry, including experience designing and delivering Real World research studies
Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) data preferred
3+ years project management skills and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
