INNOPHOS LLC Plant Manager in NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah
Plant Manager (Innophos, LLC / North Salt Lake, UT) -- Responsible for the overall operations of manufacturing facility including: Environmental, Health and Safety, production, quality control, cost management, maintenance, logistics, regulatory compliance and maintaining a high performing team; review the safety performance in the facility, working with the team to avoid preventable incidents; consider available information and develop safety standards; accountable for OSHA, EEOC and environmental compliance of the Plant; drive overall manufacturing strategies; lead cultural change efforts, continuous improvement practices and problem-solving efforts; accountable for the execution and compliance to the overall quality systems and certifications of the Plant; define goals and performance measures for each department; develop annual operating plan/budgets and continuously review the plan compliance with respect to production, yields, and fixed costs and explain variances from the budget; work with the Operations and Business Leadership teams to develop strategy, annual operating, and other business plans; develop the capital budget and ensure project execution and spending against the plan; participate in scope design and project execution as needed; advance safety as a priority assuming the lead role to drive a proactive safety culture; responsible for daily production to meet annual goals; lead the plant operations team to set key performance indicators and drive the team to exceed these metrics; maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and the implementation of quality systems processes used in the nutritional and food industries; manage the engagement, performance, and development of the staff. Requires Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field and five years of experience in job offered or as Plant Manager, Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing Corporate Coordinator, or in similar manufacturing position(s). Background in education, training, or experience must include demonstrated high level skills and capabilities with understanding process flows, process operations and equipment, process capabilities, and product quality requirements; experience with GMP manufacturing principles and using lean manufacturing techniques to drive production efficiency and improve performance; experience working closely with and leading all levels of an organization to achieve business objectives; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word; demonstrated understanding of operations finance costing methodologies and how to budget and explain variances. Less than 10% domestic travel required for visiting headquarters, customers, or suppliers or to attend expos.
