Job Title: Janitorial Worker
$18+ per hour, Day shift
Job Description
The janitorial worker will maintain cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities or locations at an oil refinery. This role involves working in commercial, health care, schools, universities, or other establishments, primarily on an oil refinery site. The position is a day shift from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with a contract of 592 hours that may be extended based on need.
Responsibilities
Clean and maintain order in over 27 buildings, focusing on occupied areas such as break rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Perform janitorial duties including sweeping, wiping, cleaning bathrooms, taking out garbage, and wiping down tables.
Walk between buildings at the north Chevron site and be accompanied by someone else in a work vehicle at other sites.
Use a cell phone and tablet for job-related tasks.
Fill out a map with a legend to become familiar with the plant layout by the end of the first week.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in sanitation and facilities maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and general labor.
Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
Sense of direction and ability to take instruction.
Self-starter and capable of working independently.
Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in janitorial work and landscaping.
Willingness to perform weeding tasks is a bonus.
Ability to use a cell phone and tablet.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Work Environment
The work environment is an oil refinery with 27 buildings, including 16 occupied buildings. The role involves walking between buildings and may require working with a team in a work vehicle. Uniforms, including pants and shirts, will be provided, and a laundry service is available. Employees must provide their own black shoes or steel-toe shoes initially, with the company providing shoes after 30 days.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.91 - $18.91/hr.
