Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer, Blink in North Reading, Massachusetts

Blink was the result of one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns ever and is now part of Amazon Devices, the consumer electronics division that brings you the Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. Our mission is to provide peace of mind for home owners while they are way from home using our wire-free, battery-operated smart home security cameras.
We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in an extremely fast paced environment. The successful candidate can be a single-threaded owner of multiple facets of Blink’s data infrastructure, building out the infrastructure platform for Blink’s fast-growing Business Intelligence team.
This role is responsible for designing a scalable backend and then producing critical reporting and analyses to produce Blink’s long-term strategy. The role will influence subscription 3-year planning and all 4P decisions based on their analytics, with visibility to the top levels of senior management in Amazon Devices.
Key job responsibilities
Work with team data engineer to utilize AWS resources including IAM, S3, Glue, Redshift, etc
Collaborate with Subscription related stakeholders (PM, finance, sales and strategy) to design and develop high quality KPI/ metric dashboards that effectively track and analyze complex evolving business initiatives
Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions.Design and implement large-scale data structures to support the business needs
Work with DE, other BIEs and SDEs to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, and ability to use a programming and/or scripting language to process data
Generate actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses
Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
