Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inside Research Worker to join our team. This is a short-term assignment ideal for retirees and individuals comfortable with repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receive and sort incoming seeds
Scan barcodes on an iPad and put products away
Sort seed packets for planting and shipping
Use research equipment as needed
Maintain general housekeeping in the work area
Essential Skills
Reliable transportation
Ability to stand for long periods
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
Strong organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Basic computer navigation skills
Basic understanding of written and spoken English
Effective communication with supervisors
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety procedures
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using barcode scanners preferred
Warehouse, distribution, shipping, or inventory experience is helpful
Competency in performing accurate work in a repetitive motion environment

Work Environment
This role involves working 40 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays, from 7:00am - 3:30pm. The work is 100% indoors in a warehouse setting, with exposure to chemicals, seed treatment dust, and other common allergens. Employees are expected to be on time, stand for 8 hours a day, and may need to lift up to 50 lbs. Breaks include one 15-minute break for each 4 hours worked, and a 30-minute lunch break for a full shift. Personal phone calls should be made during breaks unless it's an emergency.

This is a Contract position based out of North Platte, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
