Job Summary and Qualifications: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist- Full-Time Days

As a Hyperbaric Technician Lead you will be responsible for implementing and managing daily hyperbaric operations. We have an amazing team and consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

· NATURE & SCOPE :

· Provides overall technical and safety of hyperbaric staff including facilitation of annual competencies with hyperbaric staff.

· Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of hyperbaric specific policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

· Serves as designated ‘Safety Officer’ in accordance with the applicable requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, Title 99, and Chapter 20.

· Must possess knowledge of the age specific attributes of the patients treated at the program.

· Must have a thorough understanding of the approved treatment protocols used in patient treatment and ensure the proper application of those protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.

· Operates automatic and manual controls to pressurize and depressurize mono-place chambers according to prescribed tables for clinical treatments and research programs and keeps accurate logs and records of the time, pressures, depths, altitudes, etc. of chamber operations.

· Maintains a Hyperbaric Quality Improvement Program in collaboration with the Service Line Coordinator.

· Is responsible for training educating all staff members about hyperbaric medicine and safety issues related to chamber operation. Will participate in in-services and other educational opportunities to fulfill this requirement in cooperation and under the direction of the Medical Director and Service Line Coordinator.

· Coordinates inspections of the hyperbaric equipment. Ensures that proper cleaning and equipment maintenance is carried out on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis.

What qualifications you will need:

· Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT, CHRT or CHRN)

· EMT or eligible to obtain/renew within 3 months of hire.

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 30 days

· Basic clinical knowledge of diabetes, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine.
