Location: Preferred locations in the Northeastern US (MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA). However, will consider candidates in any other of our offices in the US.

From major renewable energy projects, electrification programs, to high voltage interconnectors and offshore grids, we’re integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

We wish to appoint an innovative leader to grow and manage our electrical substations team in North America focusing on core clients but exploring new clients as the Energy Transition builds momentum. The role will require liaising directly with clients and providing conceptual studies, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design.

Jacobs’ North American Energy & Power team is seeking an Electrical Technical Delivery Manager to play a crucial role in growing and managing a technical team delivering consulting and engineering services in the field of Medium to High Voltage substation projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly regarded Energy & Power team in the US, with flexible work options to suit everyone. We are looking for those interested in a diverse role, which has a broad scope across both team leadership and technical delivery.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· Knowledge of industry design practices, standards, products, and engineering-related disciplines regarding utility scale substations.

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

· Minimum of 10 years related work experience, including leading a team of engineers.

· US engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

· Entrepreneurial mindset to grow and lead a team of substation engineers.

· Advise on and manage large scale technical design packages and consulting services.

· Engage with key clients, including the management of MSAs, bids and proposals, and delivering professional reports.

· Perform site visits, attend meetings at client sites, participate in industry conferences and other travel as required.

· Shape the vision of the technical practice based on future focused insights, thought leadership and Jacobs’ goals.

· Oversee technical assessments on a variety of difficult national and international projects and provide quality assurance of technical outputs.

· Contribute to a learning environment, support fellow engineers, with the opportunity to offer mentoring, be mentored and take advantage of career development opportunities.

· Work collaboratively with the North American and Global Technical Leads to oversee and manage the daily responsibilities of the substations team.
