This Procurement leader will play a strategic role in building a next-generation approach to Procurement as it transforms to become a trusted business partner and an enabler of key business strategy, along with customer of choice for suppliers. As an Associate Director of Category Management, this role provides guidance to and influences business stakeholders of indirect spend categories with particular emphases on Information Technology. This individual will drive value for spend categories, grow and sustain partnerships with business stakeholders while enabling AbbVie to be a customer of choice for suppliers under the guidance of the team Director.
Responsibilities
Maximize category value by employing the following levers: Sourcing & Price Management, Demand Management, Transformational Sourcing, Specification Harmonization, & Process Optimization
Member of team that develops and guides category long range plan including strategy development, implementation, & modification
Provide leadership and strategic vision for AbbVie to optimize company value through selection of quality suppliers, fact-based negotiations, and performance-based contracting to protect the company's interests in partnership with Director
Drive Supplier Diversity and Sustainability targets
Impact continuous improvement of Procurement processes and systems in alignment with Functional and Enterprise leadership
Build Global Supplier Relationship Management with top suppliers
Develop relationships with regional suppliers to anticipate and proactively address critical issues
Guide geographic stakeholder alignment within Europe, Asia, Latin America on spend management, savings opportunities and strategic supplier sourcing needs
Drive business unit stakeholder alignment with AbbVie / Allergan Aesthetics and therapeutic commercial organizations as well as affiliate indirect needs
Ensure that the functions, countries, and business units understand and comply with the appropriate corporate policies and processes as they related to procurement transactions
Coordinate internally with Procurement leadership on process, technology, organizational alignment, and strategic procurement imperatives
Influence international category and procurement managers inclusively and equitably, always engaging in a manner consistent with AbbVie target behaviors.

Qualifications
Minimum 8-10 years Procurement Leadership experience with increasing global responsibility and experience in a large matrixed company environment
5+ years experience in IT category management (Software, Hardware, Infrastructure, Professional Services)
5+ years experience leading teams in multiple countries with a focus on building diverse, high performing teams
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, global organization
Experience with IT outsourcing highly preferred
Strong leadership and effective business partnering capabilities
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Strong business acumen with demonstrated success developing and executing on a multi-year strategy
Robust project and change management skills
Track record for thriving within a time of transformation within a high-paced environment
Ability and desire to grow into Director level
Ability to work onsite in Lake County IL 3 days per week

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $137,500 - $261,000
