Financial Analyst

Location: 1717 Fort Jesse Rd Ste 3 Normal, IL 61761

Pay Range: $55,000 - $80,000 per year.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site Financial Analyst role located in Normal, IL. As a Financial Analyst at Premium Loaves, you will work closely with our Director of Finance to assist in various financial analysis and reporting activities. You will play a critical role in supporting the financial decision-making process by collecting, analyzing, and presenting financial data.

Position Responsibilities:

This position will prepare, review, and manage budgets through the preparation and development of business plans to support company growth strategies and business

initiatives. This position will also support the acquisitions process, conducting analysis, and ensuring the business meets its targeted growth plans. Lastly, this position will partner with functional departments and teams to work towards developing solutions and efficiencies to help achieve business targets.

  • Prepare, review, and manage budget. Assist in preparation and development of business plans to support company growth strategies and business initiatives.

  • Prepare period, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports, forecasts, and analysis.

  • Assist in the acquisitions process which includes financial due diligence, projected financial performance, financial and operation analysis, and preparation of executive presentations.

  • Provide ongoing assessment of current restaurant G&A opportunities and efficiencies making recommendations to Director of Finance & VP of Operations regarding potential enhancements.

  • Become an expert in different P&L line items for company restaurants.

  • Assist in preparation of management reporting, performance management tools/dashboards, and other information to support the Leadership Team.

  • Partner with functional departments to develop financial analytical tools and solutions as required (e.g., Accounting, Operations, Training/Development etc.).

  • Participate in special projects as needed.

  • Provide tactical financial analysis of restaurants - focusing on opportunities/ benefits, cost controls, and margin enhancements.

  • Enhance financial analysis and reporting by creating and refining financial tools in support of cost analysis and profit opportunities.

  • Enhance budget and forecast tool efficiencies and communication processes.

  • Provide guidance to Leadership teams on how to improve financial and operating results.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA a plus).

  • Demonstrated skills: analytical and problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking, communication within a team, leadership, and ability to have difficult discussions.

  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.

  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theories.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the broader context of financial decisions.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast paced environment.

  • Organizational skills reflecting prioritization with a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences

  • Prior experience in investment banking.

  • Experience working with large data sets.

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with advanced excel functions such as SUMPRODUCT, INDEX(MATCH), and SUMIFS.
