To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every day
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision Requirements - 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Well-founded grasp of reconciliations
Journal entries experience preferred
Strong familiarity with property accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of Google Sheets
Command of Google Sheets
Monthly Close experience
Proven knowledge of Analytical Skills
Strong attention to detail
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
