Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the logistics industry located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team. The selected candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including the processing of accounts payable, data entry, and invoice processing.

Responsibilities

• Handle the responsibilities of accounts payable

• Conduct data entry tasks in a timely and accurate manner

• Efficiently process invoices as per the company's protocols

• Provide backup support for answering incoming calls when necessary

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions

• Ensure all accounts receivable tasks are completed accurately

• Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk in the logistics industry

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Data Entry with high degree of accuracy

• Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas

• Possess strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
