Job Overview

The AMS Transition and Delivery lead is responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of transitioning services to Hubbell’s selected AMS partner delivering application and infrastructure services. This role ensures that Hubbell’s business and technical requirements are understood and met by our AMS service provider. This individual will work closely with our partner’s AMS transition manager and Hubbell’s I.T. managers and I.T. personnel to effectively transition operational run support services to our AMS partner.

This role will work with a broad set of stakeholders across I.T. All operational support of our class Tier 1 and 2 applications and supporting infrastructure will transition to AMS.

A Day In The Life

  • Serves as the interface between I.T. functional and technical teams and AMS service teams.

  • Monitor and facilitate the functional and technical knowledge transfer to the AMS provider.

  • Communicate requirements as needed to business area management and end user communities who depend upon services supplied by AMS.

  • In conjunction with our AMS provider develop and implement a communication plan providing the technical, procedural, and cultural change during service transition.

  • Collaborate and work in conjunction with Hubbell I.T. and AMS Provider teams to define changes in project plan, requirements, dependencies, resources assignment/availability, roles and responsibilities, and project objectives.

  • Jointly manage the transition of services in conjunction with our AMS partner.

  • Attend regular transition meetings according to schedule.

  • Define and maintain processes to transition change and impact created by project team work to operational support by AMS.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, establish, and implement best practice, process, and policies for effective AMS service delivery.

  • Lead planning of transitions from Project to AMS operations by working in collaboration with AMS provider and development teams.

  • Support the improvement of AMS governance and standardization of process and reporting.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience I.T. application support function

  • Experience working with I.T. teams and business personnel.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Organizational and project management skills
