UnitedHealth Group Senior Software Engineering Lead - Java, Noida in Noida, India


In this position the candidate will have an opportunity to drive Technical Standards and Engineering culture to software products and application features for healthcare industry. Candidate will work as Module lead together with Development Team to build state-of-the-art software for mission critical applications. Candidate must be a quick learner and have excellent communication skills.


  • Exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people

  • Be able to interact with business users, I/T and customers to define application requirements

  • Be able to write the code and Review the code of the engineers

  • Involve in critical and complex technical discussions

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented and ability to document low to highly complex functional designs and data structures, to support business and operational requirement

  • Candidate should be confident to work independently, handle and guide the team and should be self-motivated

  • The candidate should have good analytical and self-learning skills and desire to learn new technologies

  • Candidate should have worked in microservices environment and should be fully aware of reference architectures and design patterns required for a complex implementation

  • A great attitude and the passion and persistence to solve complex problems


  • B.Tech / MCA / Msc / MTech (Minimum 16 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant)

  • Experience: 10+ years in development

  • 10 + years of experience in development with expertise in building and shipping production enabled software in Java ecosystem

  • Expertise implementing microservices

  • Excellent programming skills with Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate etc

  • Expertise with RESTful Web Services

  • Expertise with Git version control

  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical colleagues.

  • Knowledge in container virtualization utilizing Docker and CICD using Jenkins, Gitlab etc is an added advantage

  • Maven or Gradle

  • Frameworks & Technologies:

  • Spring Boot


  • Git

  • Rabbit MQ


  • RDBMS – Must

  • NoSQL – Exposure any NoSQL system is a plus.

  • Experience in Scrum Framework


  • Experience in REACT, REDUX, JAVASCRIPT, UI etc.
