Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Planning Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

The Planning Supervisor is responsible of management and implementation of activities associated with Production Control, Materials Planning, Scheduling and Master Planning with the desired goal maintaining and developing production plan that meets customer expectations. Managing Make item inventories at their optimum level in keeping with desired OTD and customer service level. Coordinating the planning team effort to meet expectations.

Job responsibilities

  • Establish strong working relationships with Procurement, Production & Customer Service teams to ensure that there is a good understanding of customer requirements and changing demand conditions.

  • Implement and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in the ERP system for specific customers or Product Lines to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained. Linking SIOP to mid-term site planning.Ensure that site planning functions work effectively with production personnel to match supply with demand, at minimum cost and maximum efficiency.

  • Implement Planning policies and Standard Work.

  • Implement processes and metrics to deliver the systems required to facilitate Demand Management and Planning, taking full advantage of ERP modules capabilities. Working with IT corporate Team to develop SAP capabilities.

  • Execute SIOP/Forecasting, Capacity Planning (RCCP)

  • Ensure that information used for planning of make item (MPS) is accurately set up and maintain in the system in order to provide reliable downstream information, making best use of Planning Parameters.

  • Ensure that production schedule is provided in a timely manner. Monitor daily attainment metric.

  • Motivates and coaches employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results. Develop employees to improve usage of the ERP.

  • Effectively confronts employee performance and behavioral issues. Holds employees accountable with immediate feedback when desired behaviors and expectations are not being achieved.

  • Shows empathy towards employee issues by providing support, information, and counseling and in appropriate situations acting as an employee advocate by raising issues with management. Follows through on commitments made to employees.

  • Promotes employee development and potential through effective performance management and coaching and ensures that appropriate and required training is completed for direct reports so that they have the necessary skills, knowledge information and tools to do their jobs safely and effectively.

  • Demonstrates an appreciation for similarities and individual differences and promotes a culture of inclusion that leverages the full potential of all employees.

  • Promotes employee satisfaction and engagement and champions the continuous improvement of the employee engagement survey

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish. "

  • 5 to 7 years experience in Production planning in the same industry sector

  • Experience in Managing, Developing and Coaching People.

  • Familiar with Forecasting tools

  • Experience in MRP, MPS, Min-Max tools.

  • Experience in ERP systems/SAP"

  • APICS CPIM certification qualification (desirable).

  • Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills.

  • Advanced in BI tools and database management (Microsoft Access, Power BI and similar)

  • Advanced in Excel, able to develop spread sheets"

  • Problem solving, team work, communication skills
