"Job#: 2020670 Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mainframe Tester to join our quality assurance team. As a Mainframe Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our mainframe-based systems. Manual Testing:Create, execute, and maintain manual test cases for mainframe applications. o Validate system behavior against business requirements and technical specifications.Identify defects, document issues, and collaborate with developers for resolution.2. JCL Expertise:Hard Requirement: Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language).Understand and analyze JCL scripts used for batch processing.Execute JCL jobs to verify data processing, file handling, and system interactions.3. Systems Testing:Conduct end-to-end testing of mainframe systems.Validate system integration, data flow, and overall functionality.Verify system stability and performance under different scenarios. 4. Application Testing:Test individual application modules, screens, and functionalities.Ensure compliance with business rules and user requirements.Validate data accuracy and consistency.4. Verification and Validation Testing:Verify that the system meets specified requirements.Validate data transformations, calculations, and business logic.Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact.5. Test Management experience:Familiarity with HP Quality Center (HP ALM) or another tool for test management.Ability to create test cycles, manage test cases, and track defects.Experience with test execution and reporting within HP QC or a similar tool.6. Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other QA team members.Communicate test results, progress, and issues effectivelyQualifications:Required:Strong experience in manual testing of mainframe applications.Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.Understanding of mainframe file structures, data sets, and COBOL programs.Nice to Have:Familiarity with HP Quality Center (HP ALM) for test management.Exposure to payroll applications or financial systems.
