As a key contributor, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to designing specifications, programming, unit testing, and collaborating with the integration team.If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please send an updated copy of your resume to Jordan at [emailprotected]Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering and Analysis:Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand project requirements.Translate business needs into technical specifications.Design and Architecture:Design COBOL-based solutions for mainframe applications.Create detailed design documents, considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.Programming and Development:Write, modify, and debug COBOL programs.Develop and maintain mainframe applications using IBM z/OS technologies.Implement enhancements and resolve defects.Unit Testing and Quality Assurance:Create and execute unit test cases.Ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and compliance with best practices.Integration and Handover:Collaborate with the integration team to ensure smooth deployment.Hand over completed work to the integration team for system testing and production deployment.Documentation and Communication:Document technical specifications, code changes, and system configurations.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Qualifications:Required:Strong experience inCOBOL programmingon IBM mainframe (z/OS) platforms.Proficiency inIDSM/REXXUnderstanding of mainframe file structures and batch processing.Must Obtain Security+ Certification prior to startingNice to Have:Familiarity withCICSKnowledge ofIBM utilities(SORT, IDCAMS, etc.).Exposure topayroll applicationsor financial systems.Agile methodology experienceEducation and Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or related field.At least5 years of experiencein COBOL development on IBM mainframes.If you are passionate about mainframe development, enjoy working with COBOL, and thrive in a full lifecycle environment, we encourage you to apply!
