Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Noblesville, Indiana

Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist (Construction Billing) will play a crucial role in our clients finance department, ensuring accurate and timely billing for construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to track project expenses, generate invoices, and manage accounts receivable activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project contracts and specifications to understand billing requirements and timelines.

  • Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.

  • Prepare accurate and detailed invoices based on project milestones, progress, and completed work.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

  • Provide support during financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of billing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction billing and accounts receivable management.

    Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems

  • Construction Accounting experience desired

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

  • Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
