North Wind Site Services is focused on providing engineering, program management, environmental remediation services including investigation and characterization, environmental restoration, unexploded ordnance/military munitions response (MMRP), regulatory public involvement services, environmental compliance, logistics, and records and facility management.

POSITION PURPOSE:

North Wind Site Services, LLC (North Wind), a CIRI Company, has been tasked by the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory located in Niskayuna, NY to provide Environmental Remediation, Demolition, and Removal Services, Waste Management Services, and Regulatory Services Project. North Wind is seeking a short-term, full-time on-site Administrative Assistant to support the Project Management Team with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks through Task Order completion expected in late 2024. This position will assist with Document Control, Records Management, Training, and Project Records in accordance with DOE's policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in maintaining document control records.

  • Assist with processing paper and electronic records.

  • Manage correspondence list.

  • Maintain the general filing system and electronic files.

  • Schedule meetings and prepare meeting minutes when applicable.

  • Assist with training records and training matrix updates.

  • Maintain inventory and order office supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School or Associate Degree

  • Ability to utilize multiple word-processing and database applications including Word, Excel, Acrobat, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to pass background check.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.

  • High attention to detail, multi-tasking

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential client and employee information.

In office, occasional project site visit within KAPL complex
