Front Desk Agent

Recreation is also part of the Hotel. Front Desk Agents may be used as needed for Recreation.

  JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Responsible for attending to the needs of the guests, especially during check in and check out of the hotel. Providing accurate information to guest about the hotel policies, services and amenities, ensuring guest service and satisfaction.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.

  • Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.).

  • Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers.

  • Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.

  • Posting charges to guest accounts, processing payments from guests.

  • Making necessary corrections to guest accounts.

  • Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.

  • Listening for and responding to guest complaints.

  • Operates Hotel switchboard and/or PBX.

  • Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  High School diploma or GED required. Prior guest relations experience preferred.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
